Emmy Award Nominations are out..... with musician Flynn being honored for "Be A Bruin" series theme in the Music Composition/Arrangement Category

 "Be A Bruin" Lights the Lamp with Five Emmy Nominations!

"Be A Bruin" the innovative sports reality series, aired on NESN this past
fall, was recognized with five Emmy nominations in four different categories
by the New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts &
Sciences. At the April 10th Nominations Announcement in Boston, " Be A
Bruin" tallied Nominations in: the Sports Series Category twice with
Supervising Producer Rick DiGregorio and Host/Producer Brad Park being
honored for "Episode 4" and "Episode 6"; the Audio Category with Steve
Bores, Location Sound Mixer being honored for "Episode 6"; the Graphic
Arts-Program Category with Amy Schrob, Director of Creative Production being
honored for "Be A Bruin Animation Package" and the Music
Composition/Arrangement Category with musician Flynn and Executive Producer
John MacNeil being honored for "Be A Bruin" series theme. Upon the
Nominations Announcement Brad Park commented "It's a team victory, the
creative and production folks really made a great show, I felt it all along.
They worked with input from NESN programming executives and within the
vision of Bruins management to really show the heart of competitive hockey."

The series consisted of eight episodes featuring head to head competition
among some of the best unsigned hockey players in the North America. Aired
on the NESN from November 2006 through February 2007, featuring coaching and
evaluation by hockey greats Park, Terry O'Reilly  and Gerry Cheevers. "Be A
Bruin Camp" had the top 36 players from a Skills Challenge winning an all
expenses paid week of competition at "Be A Bruin" Training Camp in July 2006
at the New England Sports Center in Marlboro, Massachusetts. From the group
of 36 the reality show cut down to the final three, the top forward,
defenseman and goaltender who were invited to Boston Bruins training camp in
the Fall of 2006. Each of the winners had a chance at earning an NHL
contract with the Bruins.

The National Academy of Television Arts of Sciences recognizes excellence
television journalism, entertainment, production and programming. The New
England Chapter oversees content created in the six New England states and
portions on Upstate NY.  The content honored was broadcast during the
calendar year of 2006. With the Emmy ceremony held May 12th at the Marriott
